How to Get My Akita Puppy to Stop Going to the Toilet in the House?

I have a 8.5 week old Akita, he sometimes goes to the toilet in the house. How can i stop him from doing this?

I have another dog and 2 cats they get on great as well

I got a dog a few months ago and I had the same problem. Try yelling at him whenever he goes to the toilet inside the house and carry him all the way to the place he is supposed to go at. You could also buy some dog repellent spray and apply it to the area where your dog used the toilet, it’s supposed to let them know they must not go there. Hope I helped you and good luck with your new dog

What we did with our gerrman shepard is point their nose in front of where they wwent to the bath room and yell ‘bad!!" We only did it twice when he was a puppy, and i felt so bad when we did it! But he never went to the bathroom ever again in the house. We would feed him and once he got kinda jumpy we would take him out side in the yard, and he would do his business. You could try that on your puppy (: I love Akitas.I hope this helps!!

At 8.5 weeks you have to be patient.

Dogs that age simply do not have the bladder control, so you have to put in place a proper routine where you let the dog out, day and night. Pups generally have to go every 2 hours.

When you see the dog about to go to the toilet inside, say "No!" or "Ah-ah" and lead him outside. Wait, and when he does something reward. If he doesn’t do anything, go inside, and a few minutes later try again.
